LiftGuard™ Magnetic Sling Protectors

Sling Protection Construction
LiftGuard™ lifting sling protectors are made in the USA from high-performance cast nylon, a material that ensures both durability and reliability.
It's engineered to withstand the high pressures of lifting applications, and offers excellent abrasion- and wear-resistance. It can also be used in a wide range of temperatures: -20 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit.
The magnets are recessed to prevent damage to painted surfaces, and the protectors are 1/7th of the weight of steel for ease of use.
Magnetic Sling Protector Working Load Limits
The medium- and heavy-duty protectors offer a WLL of 12,500 lbs. per inch of web sling when there is full contact with inside surfaces. That means there must be 100% contact on both the vertical and horizontal load surfaces.
The grooved unit capacity is reliant on the groove width and plate thickness. We carry grooved units with a 1/2" groove, so the WLL is 6,250 lbs. per inch of web sling with full contact.
To get the full working load limit, multiply the base WLL by the width of your strap. So a 4" strap using a medium-duty protector will have a WLL of 50,000 (4 x 12,500).

Medium-Duty
Medium-duty sling protectors are designed to be used with synthetic slings. They can also be used with chain or wire rope slings, but only if you are lifting light loads or plan to use them infrequently.
Heavy-Duty
If you plan to lift heavy loads or use these sling protectors often, consider upgrading to the heavy-duty version. It is compatible with all sling styles, and won't be damaged by wire rope or chain slings.
Grooved
Grooved units connect to steel plate edges or I-beam flanges.
When choosing a grooved units, you must select the option that exactly matches your plate or flange thickness.
